Job Description:
Founded in 1967, Blue Ridge Community College has served the residents of the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for over 50 years. Its comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in occupational/technical and college/university transfer programs. The College also provides non-credit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals, business, and industry.
Instructors are needed to teach various healthcare certification courses. An Ideal candidate is someone who has worked in the healthcare industry and has a desire to share their expert knowledge with aspiring professionals. Instructors are responsible for leading classes, creating lesson plans, providing hands-on skills training, grading and preparing students for the certification exam. A certification or license in the discipline being taught is highly preferred and in some instances required.
Instructors needed in the following areas
1. Nurse Aide Training (Required: Registered Nurse with Long Term Care experience)
2. Phlebotomy
3. Medical Coding
4. Sterile Processing
5. Patient Care Technician
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to provide quality instruction through various delivery methods.
