Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate Training Sessions: Conduct engaging and informative classroom sessions, practical demonstrations, and simulations to deliver EMT training in compliance with regulatory standards, including those outlined in California EMS guidelines.
2. Assessment and Evaluation: Administer assessments to evaluate student comprehension and skill proficiency, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines. Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
3. Documentation Management: Ensure all course documentation, including attendance records, assessments, and evaluations, meets regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
4. Continuing Education: Stay updated on changes to EMS regulations and industry best practices to ensure training content remains current and compliant.
5. Student Support: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to students to help them meet competency standards and prepare for certification exams.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with other instructors, healthcare professionals, and regulatory agencies to enhance the quality of EMT training programs and promote compliance with relevant regulations.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and protocols during training sessions and practical exercises to maintain a safe learning environment.
Requirements:
1. EMT Certification: Possess current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the state of California or equivalent, in compliance with EMS guidelines.
2. Education: In accordance with CA Title 22, "instructor(s) [...] shall be qualified by education and experience with at least forty (40) hours of documented teaching methodology instruction in areas related to methods, materials, and evaluation of instruction."
3. EMT Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years experience as an EMT, demonstrating familiarity with instructional practices.
4. Clinical Experience: Demonstrate practical experience in emergency medical services through clinical practice or employment as a practicing EMT.
5. Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
6. Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage course logistics, schedules, and documentation.
7. Commitment to Compliance: Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
