Job Overview:
NDi is seeking a skilled and experienced Portfolio Manager to lead the Health IT portfolio specifically catered to Veteran Affairs. This role will be instrumental in developing and overseeing a diverse range of IT service delivery projects and initiatives within the Health IT domain, ensuring alignment with NDi's objectives and the needs of Veteran Affairs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare technology, project/portfolio management, and a proven track record in leading successful initiatives within government contracts, particularly within the Veteran Affairs sector.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Strategy and Planning:
- Mature and execute a comprehensive portfolio strategy aligned with the objectives of NDi and Veteran Affairs, focusing on enhancing health information technology services and solutions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define portfolio priorities, goals, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.
- Transition contracts from Proposal Delivery to Service Delivery. Responsible for the full lifecycle of NDi's Transition Plan, including pre-award activities, transition activities, and Program Management handoff for delivery.
- Portfolio Oversight and Management:
- Stand up, lead, and manage a diverse portfolio of Health IT projects for Veteran Affairs, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Monitor and track project progress, risks, and dependencies across the portfolio, implementing effective governance and control mechanisms.
- Maintain and exceed Small Business Participation and Veterans Employment metrics.
- Allocate resources effectively, optimizing staffing and budget utilization to maximize portfolio performance and outcomes.
- Manage JV, CTA, and subcontractor service performance and reporting requirements.
- Provide Policy, Oversight, Dispute Resolution, and work.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including Veteran Affairs representatives, clients, internal teams, and external partners/vendors.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication across projects within the portfolio.
- Increase proposal win rates through the integration of client-specific insights and the organization's capabilities.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project managers and teams within the Health IT portfolio, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Encourage professional development and growth opportunities for team members, promoting a high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10 years' minimum experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Extensive experience in portfolio management, project management, or related roles within the healthcare industry, specifically with government information technology service contracts, preferably within Veteran Affairs.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex portfolios of Health IT projects, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of health information technology systems, interoperability, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Requirements:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- This position is currently remote but may require occasional onsite presence.
