Health Analyst/Health Program Analyst (Mcah) (Abp)

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Division of Maternal, Child, & Adolescent Health is seeking a Health Analyst/Health Program Analyst to join our Abundant Birth Project (ABP) CA Expansion. The CA ABP is a pilot program that will provide pregnant people with a monthly income supplement during their pregnancy and post-natal periods. The Health Analyst (HA) will assist with administrative efforts and be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of various response components, including agreements and contracts with multiple entities, management of public health programs and/or projects, and grant administration. The HA will work closely with Logistics, Contracts and Grants Division, Finance, Operations, Provider Outreach, or other Public Health program to ensure programmatic, technical, organizational and grant requirements are on track and objectives are met.

This is a full-time benefitted position. Employment is provided by Heluna Health.

The pay rate for this position is $43.98 per hour. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Specific activities include, but are not limited to: 

• Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of MCAH programs
• Assists with the coordination, planning and development of budgets for programs; assists with the monitoring of established budgets
• Gathers and analyzes information pertaining to MCAH programs including overall evaluation and prepares a variety of reports and correspondence related to the program
• Complies with DPH training regarding confidential information related to personal information
• Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience 

• Four years of experience in a staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, program, procedure, budget, or personnel -OR- 
• One year of highly responsible administrative or staff experience assisting in research and analysis of, and making recommendations regarding the use and deployment of resources and the implementation and refinement of operations and programs; and

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances

• A valid California driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions. 
• Successful clearance of LA County Live Scan required.

• Knowledge of and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Power Point.
