We are seeking a Head of Talent Acquisition to design and execute recruiting strategies to attract, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates for our internal team and portfolio companies, mostly C-suite/Co-founder opportunities. You will play a critical role in leading Talent Acquisition with a hands-on, metrics-driven approach, becoming a trusted partner to the Investment team and C-level team of each organization.
How you'll make an impact:
- Work with the Investment Team to design the ideal candidate profile for each company and position, mostly C-suite/Co-founder positions
- Conducting LinkedIn research to source a list of potential candidates based on the ideal candidate profile
- Perform the initial outreach to the candidates to discuss the position, Downing Capital Group, and the role. This involves conducting the initial interview with candidates.
- Manage the executive candidate experience, from the first outreach until the conclusion of the process
- Express opinions and views on both candidates and appropriate backgrounds for executives
- Once the CEO is hired for a given portfolio company, work closely with the CEO to hire the rest of their team.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Executive search experience with early-stage, venture studio, or venture-backed companies
- 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition
- Ability to be hands-on in sourcing & attracting talent with a metrics-driven approach
- A deep passion for building new businesses
- An affinity for collaboration among a team of a few key stakeholders
- A drive to serve in a highly strategic, value-additive position within the firm
Compensation Range: $150-$180k base plus bonus
