Job description

As the Commercial BankingHead of Talent and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), you will report to the Head of HR for the Commercial Bank and the Head of Talent and Career Development Experience for JPMC. You will partner with senior business leaders and HR Business Advisors (HRBAs) to strategize, implement, and execute talent management and DEI solutions to meet internal client needs and support the evolution of the business.

You will be a valued member of Commercial Bank (CB) HR Leadership team as you lead and drive Talent and DEI strategy/ agenda with CB Senior Leaders, HR Business Advisors, DEI and Talent Acquisition while providing regular updates to the CB Operating Committee on Talent and DEI strategy and initiatives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Partner with Firm-wide Talent and DEI teams to drive strategic and consistent initiatives that deliver business impact while leading executive talent reviews and succession planning at CB Operating Committee level, ensuring that we are developing internal talent for future critical roles across the Commercial Bank and the firm
  • Closely partner with the CB Inclusive Leadership Forum, a group of senior leaders across the business, to deliver on DEI strategic priorities and drive utilization of Talent tools and resources to enable a culture of continuous development
  • Set/Consult with HRBAs and senior leaders on diversity goals, action plans, Employee Opinion Survey results, and Accountability Framework progress
  • Deliver analytics and insights to drive measurable impact across talent development, diverse representation, and inclusion initiatives
  • Own and manage the CB MD Promotion process (including candidate readiness initiatives and New MD Workshop); Provide guidance to the business on ED & below promotion process and tools
  • Advise HRBAs/ business leaders through the firmwide talent development lifecycle and key strategic business driven talent initiatives; provide expertise on processes, tools and resources
  • Partner with the Head of Recruiting on talent pipelining strategy as well as lead the initiative to build a best-in-class experience for our new hires and transfers, consistent with the JPMC leadership attributes and talent agenda

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • 15+ years of Human Resources experience with a strong background in Development, Diversity and Talent Management; Strategy background welcome
  • Expertise in learning, development and DEI, with analytical/ data-driven mindset
  • Exceptional client management skills, strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to partner with senior leaders and employees at all levels to design, obtain buy-in, and deliver solutions that provide value-added impact to the business
  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership on trends in talent, diversity and development
  • Strong blend of technical capability, marketing ability, change agent, business savvy and pragmatic in approach
  • Demonstrated ability to move between the strategic and tactical responsibilities with ease

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's or advanced degree preferred
  • Progressive, transformative, and innovative; strong execution skills
  • Highly consultative and collaborative with a demonstrated ability to marshal resources across various lines of business to deliver against goals
  • A track record of developing direct reports for broader roles and seen as an exporter of Talent
