Head of Sales
About the Job:
We are looking for a top-performing salesperson with a proven track record in the CPG industry and a passion for taking your career to the next level. With a growing demand for our products, we need to expand into new markets, and are focused on building out the food drug and mass-market (FDM) retail channel. We are looking for a sales superstar to help us take our company to the next level. As the Head of Sales, you will be a key player in the organization's growth, working closely with the CEO.
Notable customers include Lowe's Home Improvement, United Airlines, Wawa, Dick's Sporting Good Stores, Scheels, NEXCOM, and more. We've acquired these customers without a full-time sales hire, so if you're a hungry sales superstar looking to bet on yourself, this is a golden opportunity to crush it!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the FDM channel to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Manage relationships with key customers and partners to ensure long-term success and growth.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity in the FDM channel to identify opportunities for growth.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and promotions.
- Collaborate with the operations and logistics team to ensure seamless execution and delivery of products to customers.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competition, and customer needs
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the FDM channel to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
- Accurate and timely forecasts for case volume
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven track record of success in FDM sales, with at least 5 years of experience
- Strong understanding of the food and beverage industry, with a focus on jerky products or energy drinks in the FDM channel.
- Established network or book of business in the FDM channel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for supporting and empowering veterans
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with key FDM customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze FDM market trends and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
