Salary:

Head of Business Unit Sales - Compound Semiconductors

 

Vital Materials Semiconductors manufactures a product line of III-V compound semiconductor substrates, Metal Organic sources, specialty gas, PBN ceramic and high purity metals for microelectronic and optoelectronic applications. We are a vertically integrated manufacturer with ISO certification. Vital Materials counts a number of the world's leading semiconductor firms among its customers. We utilize the highest quality raw materials, excellence in research, precision growth systems and strict quality control systems to produce substrate wafers, metal organic sources, specialty gases and high purity metals. These products are widely used in the radio frequency (RF) device market and photoelectric device market.

 

Job Summary:

The Head of Business Unit Sales for Compound Semiconductors is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the growth and success of a specific Business Unit focused on compound semiconductor and infrared technology products and solutions. This role plays a pivotal role in defining and executing the strategic direction of the Business Unit, ensuring its financial success, and fostering innovation and growth in the sales function within this specialized field.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Unit Sales strategy that aligns with the organization's overarching goals, with a specific focus on compound semiconductor and infrared technology markets.

Sales Team Management: Lead and manage the sales team, including sales managers and professionals, to set sales targets, develop sales strategies, and achieve revenue growth objectives.

Market Penetration: Identify and target key markets, industries, and customers for compound semiconductor technology products and solutions. Develop strategies for market penetration and expansion.

Customer Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty. Act as a primary point of contact for major accounts.

Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of compound semiconductor and infrared technology products, applications, and market trends to effectively communicate value propositions and solutions to customers.

New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to drive growth and expand the Business Unit's market presence.

Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, regularly reporting on these metrics to senior management to measure success and progress.

Budget Management: Manage and allocate budgets for sales activities effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently to achieve sales objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree may be preferred.
  • Extensive senior leadership experience in sales, preferably within the compound semiconductor and infrared technology industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams in a specialized technical field.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of compound semiconductor and infrared technology products, applications, and market dynamics.
  • Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving technical environment.

 

Travel:

Regular domestic and occasional international travel is required.
