Market Cross Pub & Brewery is looking for a Head Chef to join our team in Carlisle, PA!
Job Description:
The Head Chef is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and will be responsible for:
- Managing the kitchen to ensure it operates efficiently and productively.
- Supervising the team and overseeing all food preparation.
- Designing and directing the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and disciplining employees.
- Overseeing the food prep and cooking process.
- Assessing and monitoring the quality of all food products.
- Managing food, non-alcoholic beverage and dry good inventory. Processing orders and creating relationships with purveyors to get competitive pricing and quality products.
- Ensuring proper food handling and sanitation in accordance with Serv Safe Certification
- Ensuring all foods are prepared in accordance with Market Cross Pub & Brewery’s recipes, procedures, and standards of quality.
- Ensuring that all food is delivered to guests in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a chef or similar position in a professional kitchen setting.
Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily standing, and walking. The candidate must be able to regularly lift up to 25 lbs., frequently lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs..
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
