Position Description
As a Hardware and Inventory Specialist II, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Understand and comply with Applied Medical's Quality Systems (QS), safety rules, and company policies
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of Applied Medical
- Learn the information technology (IT) business processes
- Maintain inventory quantities and reorder points
- Assist with the management of hardware inventory
- Audit, reconcile fixed assets, and salvage obsolete equipment
- Tag and input new buildings, rooms, and cubicles into the Hardware Asset Management System
- Make necessary inventory changes when equipment is deployed or moved
- Develop and enhance the processes for the Hardware Management Team
- Act as a point of escalation for challenges, concerns, and ideas
- Handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
- Act as a champion for the team in the larger Corporate IT organization
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the Corporate IT team
- Gather and analyze information to help identify and resolve issues promptly
- Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands
Position Requirements
The following skills and attributes are required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- General IT knowledge of hardware and software, including ServiceDesk, contract management, and copier vendors
- Strong computer skills, including Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and skilled multi-tasking abilities
- Top-tier customer service skills and commitment to the quality of the customer experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Work interdependently within a cross-functional team
- Coordinate multiple projects and prioritize workload
- Work and remain calm in a fast-paced, pressurized environment
Preferred
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- More than five years' experience in Hardware and Inventory Management
- Proficiency with ServiceNow
- Familiarity with a variety of technical platforms and methodologies
