Summary
The Inventory Specialist will create, track and facilitate purchase orders, while also managing clerical tasks to support purchase order management. In addition, this position is responsible for reconciling invoices related to drop shipments and generating necessary reports.
Responsibilities
- Strong analytical skills and comprehensive understanding of retail math
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Correspond with vendors/sale representatives on a daily basis for procuring or tracking orders
- Evaluation of production, which includes reviewing and pulling forwards or back flow of product based on WOS
- Participate in weekly team meetings with product/design team and sales team
- Meeting Preparation including pulling and printing selling reports for the team as needed
- Communication/following up with Cross-Functional Teams
- Adhering to due dates for in stock tracking for shops, endcaps and guidelines
- Distributing Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reports as requested
- Prioritizing immediate deliverables and working with manager on priority by day/by week
- Processing incoming merchandise shipments and reconciling invoices as needed to clear receivers in drop ship
- Providing customer service by answering questions about flow of goods such as progress of order and appointment schedules.
- Maintaining records of daily sales, markdowns, and profit margins for each department as needed
- 3+ years of retail experience or corporate experience preferred
- Proven experience in retail inventory management or a related role
- Proficient in the Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication, and ability to organize and prioritize special project file
- A detail-oriented approach - must pay close attention to details and have the drive to get things right
- High comfort level working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
- High degree of reliability including accountability for daily, weekly, and long-term projects
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently with minimal direction
