Guest Services Supervisor

General Purpose:
The Golf Course Guest Services Supervisor is responsible for leading the outside golf operations team, ensuring exceptional service delivery related to golf amenities. This encompasses a wide range of duties including, oversight of the golf cart fleet, management of the driving range, providing assistance to guests with handling golf bags, supporting tournament operations, performing all daily tasks related to the cart barn and customer service to uphold the highest standards of guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities, a commitment to service excellence, and a thorough understanding of golf operations.
Essential Duties:
- Promote the game of golf and facility programs to all guests who visit San Juan Oaks.
- Responsible for the supervision of the outside guest service team and report any and all issues to the Director of Golf.
- Ensure golf carts are cleaned thoroughly daily and properly prepared with score cards, pencils, tees and towels.
- Ensure carts are returned to designated areas and ensure charging for next day.
- Ensure golf carts are in good working and safe condition prior to being issued to a guest.
- Notify the golf shop of all damage or other issues with the cart fleet immediately.
- Perform minor maintenance of the golf cart fleet, including monitoring tire inflation, brake adjustments, steering, new tire stock and keeping the fleet on the required maintenance schedule.
- Oversee inventory par levels for all cart barn supplies, the cleanliness of the back area of the cart barn, the washing area and recycling program (Cans/Bottles)
- Work directly with Club Car Mechanic for major maintenance related issues.
- Keep accurate records for golf groups and the cart numbers issued to each guest.
- Oversee the cart detailing program and ensure all carts are properly detailed each month.
- Oversee all driving range duties; including ball supply, keep supply current throughout the day.Keep ball crates fully stocked. Check on the club washers throughout the day, ensuring they have clean water, and that all garbage/debris is picked up.
- Oversee the chipping green and bunker area. Rake the bunker daily and pick up lose range balls. Never allow golf balls to be left on chipping/putting green when not in use.
- Greet and assist guests when arriving at the bag drop location as needed and oversee greeter staff.
- Perform other daily duties that may be assigned by Management or Golf Shop Staff
Minimum Requirements
Less than high school education; or up to 6-months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience at a golf course, golf club or related hospitality environment including minor maintenance of a cart fleet.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears. Frequently uses hands. Regularly reaches with arms and hands. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds. Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions; may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is moderate.

Valid Driver’s License

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
