GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The GTC Audit Specialist is responsible for assisting in the research and analysis of defaulted bond issues and other non-performing assets held in IRAs and GAMMAs. This position is responsible for the maintenance of the Master Bond Default List and provides assistance with IRA and GAMMA administrative reviews.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs annual administrative audits on CrowdPay, IRAs and GAMMAs. This duty is performed annually.

2. Participates and contributes to formation and changes in company policy and procedures. This duty is performed as needed.

3. Analyzes, proposes, and completes special projects. This duty is performed as needed.

4. Responsible for the maintenance of the Master Bond Default List. This duty is performed as needed.

5. Researches and analyzes non-performing assets. This duty is performed as needed.

6. Performs monthly audits. This duty is performed monthly.

7. Completes required Annual BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.

8. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.

9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.

WORKING CONDITIONS

-Must have strong knowledge and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Internet, e-mail and a working knowledge of accounting software
