ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all data entry of participant information into the MIS Access data portal, and ensures the data quality and runs specific monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Serve as the GII point of contact for all data entry needs for Growth Opportunities Program.
- Maintain an up-to-date log of Growth Opportunities Program clients.
- Reviews, corrects and reenters client data as updates are needed, or as program requires.
- Provide training and support to Growth Opportunities staff on the proper format, conduct and specifications of the data entry needs.
- Communicate and follow up as needed with Career Navigator to clarify data and/or obtain additional information to ensure grant contract compliance.
- Responsible for tracking of all supportive service and participant expenditures individually and collectively as a program to ensure compliance with grant contract.
- Documents all activities for clients within 24 hours of event occurring to ensure compliance with CARF, applicable laws, standards and regulations.
- Assists, as required, in performing quality assurance monitoring of client files.
- Manage the setup and execution of new and/or updated data import/export to GII.
- Create all required program and client reports (ad-hoc, regular or as needed) and provide to Growth Opportunities Program Manager to adhere to GII reporting requirements.
- Working with GII, assist in solving data quality issues encountered in daily operations and monthly reporting requirements.
- Maintains electronic and paper records and create and compile statistical and narrative reports on a timely basis.
- Assist with retention/follow up activities as requested, and/or to improve metrics.
- Help to manage clients’ files, ensuring each contain all necessary documentation to support education and employment, as mandated by the Agency, CARF and any applicable funding source requirements.
- Interprets Goodwill Industries’ mission and purpose to participants, their families, new staff and employees, funding and referral sources and the general community.
- Assures human and civil rights of participants and employees are not violated.
- Provides world-class customer service to all customers (internal and external); answers all emails and voicemails within 24 business hours when not on PTO; provide flexibility so clients come first.
- Obtains knowledge in the areas of criminal justice system, parish and state correctional system, state and federal labor laws for ex-offenders.
- Maintains confidentiality with information such as case notes and client information.
- Conducts self as a good role model by following the agency’s organizational policies and procedures; maintains a neat, professional appearance.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with referral organizations, community agencies and/or employers to assure participants are effectively served and community needs are being met.
- Consistently arrives at work on time and notifies Growth Opportunities Program Manager of absence and/or tardiness in advance.
- Attends and participates in staff and collaborative partner meetings, case management meetings, training sessions (on and off-site) and other meetings as required by Goodwill; obtains the minimum required professional development training hours per year.
- Maintains an enthusiastic, positive and effective cooperative working relationship with all Goodwill staff.
- Work cooperatively with all Goodwill staff to ensure the success of all Goodwill functions and operations.
- Safeguards company property (including donated goods) and employees. Reports any incident of accident, theft, fraud, waste or unauthorized possession of company property to the Growth Opportunities Reentry Program Manager the same day as the incident.
- Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of the program, department, team and/or mission.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience: Requires Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Computer Science, Human Services, Information Technology or a related field. Knowledge of reentry and community resources and a desire to work with ex-offenders is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possess a privately owned vehicle, a valid license and automobile insurance, or must be able to access locations, possibly at a moment's notice that may not be accessible by public transportation.
Screenings: A background screening and reference checks will be completed as a condition of employment.
