We're looking for a Corporate Controller to join our team. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be based in East Aurora, NY.
The Corporate Controller is Moog's Principal Accounting Officer, responsible for ensuring financial statements filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission are prepared in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The Corporate Controller is responsible for establishing global financial policies and ensuring a strong internal control environment. We operate globally, and this role is key to the financial management of the company. You will help assess various situations and provide possible courses of actions and the related implications of those paths. This may include mergers and acquisitions, strategic business decisions, stock transactions, benefit plans and executive agreements.
To be considered for the Corporate Controller role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- An accounting or finance degree is required. An MBA is preferred, as is a CPA designation.
- A combination of 15 years of Big Four public accounting and industry experience in a controllership role is preferred.
- Leadership and progressive management experience is necessary.
- Technical accounting expertise, including on complex and unusual matters.
As the Corporate Controller, you will:
- Oversee our financial reporting processes, for both external and internal reporting. As a public company, we are subject to SEC reporting requirements. Knowledge of these and other regulations is necessary to ensure compliance. In addition, internal management reporting is used to assess the business and provide relevant information for decision making.
- Participate as a member of Moog's disclosure committee. This committee is responsible for the creating the message that is conveyed to outside stakeholders, most notably investors and analysts. A solid understanding of the results of operations as well as interests of key stakeholders is necessary to meaningfully contribute to the development of the message.
- Participate as a member of our Finance Leadership Team to drive global initiatives throughout the global finance function and support the business.
- Establish global financial policies and procedures throughout the organization. This is necessary to ensure consistent application of accounting guidance throughout the company. Creating an environment of strong internal controls is an important aspect of the Corporate Controller's role.
- Ensure the design and operation of our financial systems are adequate to provide the information necessary to report on and analyze various aspects of the business.
- Provide direction for corporate financial planning and analysis.

Salary Range:
- The base pay range for this opportunity is $250,000 - $325,000 per year.

The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
