Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the new home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United and opened for its first events in August 2017. The stadium is also host of numerous other sports and entertainment events. The multi-purpose venue features flexible capacity that can expand to up to 83,000 seats; a retractable roof structure inspired by the oculus in the ancient Rome Pantheon; views of the Atlanta skyline; a 360-degree HD video halo board that, at nearly six stories tall and 1,100 linear feet in diameter, is the largest in the NFL and the world; an exterior fan plaza that provides fans with pre- and post-game entertainment; and a host of bars, restaurants and unique gathering destinations offering fans an unparalleled game day experience. Position Summary
Under the general supervision of, and in coordination with the Asst. Head Groundskeeper/Field Conversion Supervisor, establishes work plans and schedules part-time grounds labor needs to facilitate successful efficient completion of field conversions. Leads by example; assists frontline staff with their duties as necessary or required to ensure successful field conversions.
Roles and Responsibilities
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• College degree preferred, but not necessary. Three-(3) plus years of direct related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience including a minimum of one-(1) year in a large hospitality venue or place of public assembly.
Required Skills
• Advanced software technical skills (MS Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent spelling, grammar, and mathematical skills
• Experience with ABI/Ungerboeck software programs a plus
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Superior communication skills
• Dedication to customer service
• First-class project management ability
• High degree of professionalism

- Schedules appropriate internal & outsourced staff to meet field preparation and conversion needs.
- Develops work plans and articulates needs and expectations to all part-time grounds Associates and holds them accountable for timely and successful completion of assigned tasks.
- Utilizes Nuvolo in support of grounds checklists, work orders, and quality controlling the field setup for event readiness.
- Runs reports and interprets data in an effort to continuously identify operational efficiencies.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person, email, radio, and other forms of messaging.
- Ensure that grounds warehouse and associated equipment and inventory are continuously kept maintained and stored in a neat, clean and organized manner.
- Assist in the daily maintenance of the stadium field, The Home Depot Backyard and stadium grounds.
- Participates in the operation and care of field and grounds equipment
- Participates in the operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems as directed.
- Participates in all types of sports field maintenance labor such as:
- Mowing/grooming
- Synthetic & Natural Grass Cultural/Maintenance Practices
- Painting/Paint Removal
- Field layout
- Participates in Inclement Weather readiness and execution.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Assist other departments as required.
