THE POSITION: The Grassroots Marketing Representative is an individual who builds brand awareness within the community through connections with other businesses, non-profits and service clubs in the surrounding area. The purpose of this position is to enhance marketing efforts through word-of-mouth, sponsorships and event planning to build relationships, connect families, strengthen communities and personalize the automotive experience; all of which are a part of our LaFontaine Automotive Mission. Proficient with computers and applications including Microsoft Office 365, Canva, Facebook, and etc. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED certificate preferred. Valid Driver’s License Previous experience in Marketing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Build relationships within the surrounding community that relate to profession and enhancement of the business. Organize and create community events to connect families and strengthen communities. Phone, in-person and Zoom meetings with surrounding businesses and community partners to maintain and build business. Create, develop, and event plan, including planning in advance, gathering materials, working with a set budget, setting up and tearing down, inviting guests. Community involvement, including local chambers, non-profits, and service clubs. Ability to drive up within a 1-hour radius of primary dealership location. Follow policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook. Any other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
