Advertising Sales Representative

As an Advertising Sales Representative you will be responsible for soliciting, administering, reporting and consulting on Advertising Sales for the senior resource guide, Senior Preferences, published by Jackson Publishing Company. You will work to maximize sales for the company and be accountable for helping reach sales goals, as well as serving as the liaison between the advertiser and the ad designer for production and approval of ads. You will be required to travel to appropriate sales calls, client meetings and to represent Jackson Publishing Company at many business functions.

Senior Preferences is a resource guide published in six regional annual editions around the state of Michigan providing comprehensive listings of resources for seniors and adult children. The publication has been published for over 20 years.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Sales, customer service, or senior services experience preferred
• Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
• Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively with rigid deadlines
• Experience with customer relationship management to ensure client satisfaction and repeat advertisers
• Strong networking skills for identification and pursuit of new advertiser opportunities

This position will require the candidate to be in our physical offices in Jackson, Michigan near the times of each issue publication. While we are open to candidates outside of Jackson, all candidates need to be located within a distance allowing for in-person work when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
