Job Description
- Visual Identity and Branding: Contribute to developing and maintaining a consistent visual identity for both the agency and its clients. This includes designing logos, color palettes, typography guidelines, and other elements that represent the agency's brand and its clients' brands accurately.
- Marketing Collateral: Create various marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, posters, banners, and digital ads, that effectively communicate the agency's or clients' messages to the target audience. These materials must be visually appealing and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
- Digital Design: Create engaging digital content such as social media graphics, website banners, email templates, and interactive multimedia presentations.
- Event Design: Design event-specific materials like activations, programs, wayfinding, ads, graphics, banners, promotional items, etc.
- Visual Communication: Translate complex ideas and messages into easily understandable visual formats. Simplify information into infographics, charts, and diagrams that make data and concepts more accessible to the audience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and clients to understand the overall goals and messages of a campaign or event to create designs that align with the broader marketing strategy.
- Adaptation and Flexibility: Demonstrate ability to be adaptable and adjust design work based on client feedback, changing requirements, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Innovation and Creativity: Demonstrate ability to generate innovative design concepts that capture attention and resonate with the target audience. Utilize industry best practices and current design trends and technologies to ensure the work remains fresh and relevant.
- Client Interaction: Engage in the discovery process to ascertain client design needs, present concepts, and incorporate their feedback. Strong communication skills are essential for ensuring that the final designs meet the clients' expectations.
- Print and Production: Ensure that printed or fabricated designs are prepared for execution and work closely with vendors to ensure the quality of the final products.
- Creating innovative and high-quality artwork
- Building innovative digital and print concepts to better position ABCD & Company as a creative thought leader in the market
- Coordinating resources with the Manager of Creative Services Graphic Design and Manager of Multimedia Design to deliver timely, innovative, and quality deliverables to clients
- Servicing clients by curating ideas, implementing strategy, and advocating for industry best practices that enhance their work with vital stakeholders
- Developing design briefs that suit the client’s objectives
- Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients, account managers, and internal team
- Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, researchers, web developers, and marketing specialists
- Keen attention to detail and ability to communicate proactively
- Ability to take complex information and create concise and comprehensive designs
- Creative flair, originality, and a strong acuity for visual communication
- Dedication to excellence and solution-oriented approach to work
- Willingness to expand skillset through continuing education and self-directed study
- Ability to design concepts that fit the client’s needs

- Ability to balance work on several simultaneous projects
- Mastery utilizing the Abode Creative software suite (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
- Experience in illustration, photography, and activation conceptualization preferred
- Experience in WordPress and creating graphics for web development preferred
- Ability to conduct market research
- Mastery in color theory and typography
- Interest in developing skills in motion graphics, animation, current trends, and new developments in design software and techniques
- Ability to produce a portfolio of work
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree
- At least 4 years of experience in Graphic Design
