The Graphic Designer collaborates with the Marketing team and participates in the planning and execution of the visual and website component of marketing efforts, promoting and strengthening the Transcat brand. This position works on a variety of projects, including web (eCommerce), print, digital, and branding initiatives. The Graphic Designer translates our brand and value into visually stimulating and engaging designs. This role spans across the organization, supporting various departments with a wide range of design collateral.
Responsibilities- Create, design, and execute materials that effectively communicate Transcat's brand identity, including, but not limited to:
- Website CMS page creation
- Digital/Print marketing collateral
- Website creative assets
- Email graphics
- Social and media ads
- Print catalog design and production
- Vehicle graphics
- Signage (indoor and outdoor)
- Work on day-to-day web, digital, and print requests and ongoing initiatives for the marketing team and other departments/business units across the organization.
- Assist with the printing process of all collateral, whether in-house or through a third-party vendor. Prepare print-ready files and monitor quotes and invoices for accuracy.
- Execute print and digital projects within budget and on time; identify opportunities to improve the creative process to increase efficiency and turnaround time.
- Coordinate and execute website promotions, ensuring all assets are deployed at launch.
- Complete other projects, tasks, initiatives, and duties, as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of creative projects (web and print)
- Understanding of standards and best practices for digital creative assets and print
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Meticulous organization and time management skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests to meet deadlines
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and present concepts and designs to various departments, team members, and leadership
- Self-motivated with a positive, collaborative attitude with a passion for visual communications and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills strongly preferred
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat; PowerPoint/MS Office experience is a plus
- Experience in eCommerce UI/UX design is preferred
- Wordpress CMS platform experience is a plus
- Magento eCommerce platform experience is a plus
- Experience working with print vendors on production and distribution of high-volume print material
- Monday.com or other PM software experience preferred
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years graphic design experience in a professional setting
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or related field preferred
