Graphic Designer Social Media, Digital, And Interactive

Peraton seeks aGraphic Designerto join its award-winning corporate communications and engagement team in Reston, VA (hybrid work available). This role will be responsible for creating compelling static and motion graphics for Social Media, Peraton.com, and other interactive media. You will use your graphic design and storytelling skills to communicate complex ideas into enticing visual content that drives engagement and clicks. You will report to the senior director of brand experience. The ideal candidate will already be current and aware of design trends and best practices across multiple web, digital, and Social Media platforms: especially Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Responsibilities:

• Digital Creative and Graphics: you will create a range of compelling graphics and illustrations for use on Social Media, Peraton.com, and other interactive brand experiences.
• Motion Graphics: you will create a range of compelling motion graphics and other animations for use on Social Media, Peraton.com, and other interactive brand experiences.
• Online Video: you will create custom, short video products for use on Social Media and Peraton.com.

Basic Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience designing graphics, motion graphics, edited video, infographics, illustrations, data visualizations, and other visual content for an established brand across Social Media, digital, and Interactive media
• 5-7 years of experience designing in Adobe Animate, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and related Adobe programs
• Demonstrated experience designing for both motion AND static uses
• Bachelors degree in graphic design, marketing, communications or a related field. Professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Preferred requirements:

• Experience working at a technology company, preferably in aerospace and defense
• Experience working in 3D design and animation
• Experience within a creative department at an advertising agency
• Experience working within established brand guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment
• Clear and effective communication skills that allow you to explain and pitch your ideas and work
• A desire to constantly learn and push the boundaries, relentless curiosity

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
