Graphic Design Intern

Graphic Design Intern (paid internship, $18 per hour). Must be a US Citizen to apply. You can work remote-telework most of the time but you may be asked to come into the Chantilly, VA office for meetings or special projects.

Amentum is currently seeking a Graphic Design Intern for Summer 2024. As a Graphic Design Intern, you will be an important part of the Marketing & Communications team, working closely with the branding team to create graphics and collateral materials, expand our stock and brand library and graphics related activities. The ideal person for this position loves collaborating with others to share ideas and feedback, is self-motivated and organized, has a high attention to detail, enjoys solving problems and is not afraid of a challenge.

Essential Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the brand manager and team to plan and develop templates for employees and designers to use.
• Source and organize stock images and other photography to expand the company’s photo library.
• Assist with social media and other graphics/collateral creation.

Required Skills / Experience

• College student currently in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Creative Cloud, and Adobe Express)
• Knowledge of typography principles
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
• Familiar with major social media platforms (look and feel)
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Collaborative, creative thinker who shows initiative
• US Citizenship is required

Internship Details:

• 4-month internship or summer internship (May – August) (flexible on start and end date to meet credit needs)
• Job Location: Work primarily from home with the ability to go into our Chantilly, VA office as needed.
• Estimated hours per week: 40 hrs.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2.8 GPA or Higher
• Working towards a degree in Graphic Design or like field.
