Form of workJoin our team as a Graphic Designer I in a fun, fast-paced environment with room to grow! The Graphic Designer I assists in conceptualizing and designing content for various promotional events and media platforms.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates’ degree in graphic design, marketing communication, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in graphic design and multimedia design in gaming or hospitality required.
- Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists in designing creative content for promotional and event materials.
- Provides support for direct mailing promotional campaigns.
- Creates and maintains designs for internal communications.
- Ensures all content changes are updated.
- Assist in the procurement of production materials.
- Supports promotional activities and events when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
- Knowledge of: design principles, layout; typography, and color theory; design production techniques for different mediums; digital editing; motion graphic, special effects and illustration; video production; photography; videography; desktop publishing tools and graphic design software, and casino and department policies and procedures.
- Skills in: layout skills, analytical skills, creativity, flexibility, attention to detail, deadline-oriented, time-management skills, and communication skills.
- Ability to: work independently and collaboratively; create effective content; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; effectively multitask with attention to detail; analyze, report, and present; develop and complete projects. Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
Must be able to pass an illegal drug screening and thorough background check as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
