Job Description
Sailrite is looking for a Graphics Designer to join our team! The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating graphic, flyers, emails, social media graphics and sales support tools as directed to increase sales and profitability. They will work closely with members of the marketing department, sales, sales support, and others to ensure continuity in the company’s marketing message.
An ideal candidate will possess a balance of creative skills and technical ability with regards to graphic and web design. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented and strong communicator.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce visual materials for promotions, advertisements, packaging, and informative and instructional materials for web and print.
- Conceptualize and create all marketing collateral including, but not limited to digital advertisements, email campaigns, print material, and website pages.
- Assists with other interdepartmental design needs such as specification sheets, signage, displays, etc.
- Maintains product image database, templates, fonts, and PMS colors.
- Helps bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using expertise and an eye for great design.
- Creates and maintains packaging design in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assists with trade show preparation and execution as needed.
- Maintains the marketing materials library.
- Directs and styles photo shoots and works closely with staff photographers to ensure accuracy and brand standards.
- Completes all tasks within expected deadlines.
- Must remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
- Use HTML/Tailwind to update the website.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience with web design and digital photography.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
- Gifted in layout, color theory, typography, publication design principles, and preparing art for press.
- Knowledge of Tailwind CSS for website updates is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of Netsuite is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of Klaviyo email platform is a huge plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Time-management and multitasking skills.
- Problem-solving, analysis, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with catalog or magazine and publication layout and design.
- Catalog or publication experience is a plus.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
