Summary:

We are looking for a versatile and experienced Packaging Graphic Designer to join our global team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of packaging design principles, merchandising concepts, and the printing process. The position requires a high volume of detailed packaging output. Print files must be prepared for production with integrity.

The role will expand beyond packaging design to include projects in graphic design art, digital imaging, fabric design and digital assets.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with marketing, design and product development teams to understand packaging requirements, brand identity and required specifications.
• Conceptualize and execute creative print design ideas, including visuals for packaging and merchandising.
• Match all packaging requirements as outlined by national private brand guidelines. Identify missing information and communicate with departments information needed. Be prepared to offer recommendations and provide examples.
• Prepare production files to ensure the integrity of packaging design does not change with outsourced printing.
• Create prototypes and mock-ups to test the functionality, aesthetics, and practicality of merchandising designs.
• Manage timelines and production deadlines. Prioritizing projects accordingly. Communicate consistently updates on projects.
• Maintain version control on all files.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Procurement and international Production team during the production process and ensure that final products meet quality standards.
• Pursue other design tasks as needed to fulfill demands on Design Team. This will include graphic design, digital imaging and color matching.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, packaging design, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in packaging design.
• Strong understanding of packaging design principles, merchandising concepts, and the printing process.
• Strong experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Excellent communication and project-management skills.
• Open to change and the desire to grow design skills in new areas, such as, fabric design and color matching.
• Ability to produce high volumes of packaging files with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with NedX

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
