Reporting to the Senior Art Director, 360 Studio, the Graphic Designer, 360 Studio assists the team in the development and production of creative assets for 360 marketing, visual merchandising and events, PR and internal communications, and education. The candidate will incorporate a variety of integrated steps and processes to execute polished deliverables in a high volume environment. The Graphic Designer, 360 Studio must have an incredible eye for detail and strong production and design skills. They must also be a great collaborator while demonstrating a flexible and positive attitude.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce general marketing collateral including education and PR materials, brochures and flyers, signage, PowerPoint presentations, event collateral, and more. As needed, produce digital graphics and motion design for retailer websites, education platforms, video, social and email.
- Collaborate with Creative Director and Senior Art Director to integrate education objectives into booths and other experiences and education marketing collateral.
- Create custom illustrations for multiple channels: digital, print, packaging, environments, etc.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including education and marketing and creative operations on all projects to ensure marketing objectives, milestones and delivery dates are met.
- Communicate effectively with creative, marketing, and creative operations teams to ensure quality and consistency in all aspects of campaign execution.
- Execute print and digital production, preparing final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing.
- Work with the Senior Art Director and Senior Graphic Designer on the production process; develop production specifications, and select appropriate production media and materials, such as ink and paper; inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to appropriate production standards.
- Follow and maintain brand identity characteristics, typography, photography, color etc.
- Catalog finished artwork and maintain organized files.
- Travel as required.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- BA or BFA in graphic design or related field. Strong packaging experience preferred but not required.
- 2+ years relevant design or print production experience.
- Solid knowledge of printing processes and print production.
- Command of applicable software: Adobe Creative Suite Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrate polished, innovative, confident, graphic design skills with an emphasis on typography and layout; exhibit a passion about design and an ability to clearly communicate design concepts.
- Thinking strategically, design with the goal of meeting business objectives, contributing creative ideas to improve the end product.
- Maintain and develop excellent communication with production companies, fabricators, printers and other external resources ensuring the best services, products and prices are achieved.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously through their life-cycles in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and on budget while maintaining a high standard; prioritizing short and long term tasks.
- Anticipate potential issues or roadblocks, coming up with alternatives to mitigate risks.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
- Anticipate graphic design needs, implementing creative solutions that push the creative so that the look and feel is unique yet "on brand".
- Demonstrate project ownership, problem-solving ability, follow-through and responsiveness regardless of project size or scope.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
