Location: DMV – Hybrid. Must be able to report in-person to Goddard and NASA HQ.
ARES is looking for a talented, reliable, deadline-driven Graphic Designer, with the skills and talent to translate scientific concepts into compelling visuals for our Earth Sciences communications team at NASA Headquarters. The successful candidate will create visual design products for the Earth Science News Team (ESNT) and Earth Observatory (EO) content development teams. The successful candidate must be able to sufficiently understand and have an interest in science to create compelling products. This position requires a high level of creativity, and the ability to create visuals that succinctly and clearly communication complex scientific concepts. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to meeting tight deadlines. Preference will be given to those with previous NASA or Government graphic design experience
The successful candidate must possess:
• Exceptional fluency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Expert illustration skills creating products featuring people, technology, and spaces/environments
• In-depth experience creating PowerPoint presentations
• In-depth experience creating products for print: Brochures, posters, etc.
• In-depth experience creating infographics and schematics
Education and Relevant Work Experience:
A bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience are required.
