This paid, internship is structured to provide currently enrolled college/university students an opportunity to work with seasoned Graphic Designers and art directors. You will assist various members of our design team as they create Tyndale's book & Bible covers, interiors, packaging, and marketing pieces. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should be detail oriented, precise, and a “follow-through” person. The responsibilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Assist in the creation of mock-ups and prototypes to be used as sales and marketing tools
2. Assist with the organization of Tyndale’s electronic files and images
3. Assist Design Team with photo research and other support as needed
4. Attend and participate in design and product development meetings
5. Provide sample designs for prototype products and marketing pieces when requested
6. Assist production artists in preparing files for printers, routing covers, setting up templates as needed
7. Assist design assistant with Design department requests
8. Barcode creation
9. Assist with Periodical department needs
10. Scanning as needed
11. More duties may be assigned
You will apply your academic training at a new level and have the benefit of being immersed in a dynamic environment, collaborating with production artists and designers ranging from entry-level to senior art directors.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will need to have two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer experience is required, and candidates will need to be familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign.
