About us
We are a rural ambulance service that would like to apply for grants to help offset some of our costs and to purchase new equipment. We are looking for a contract Grant Writer that will search for available grants for our type of service and write the grants.
Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding for various projects and programs
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential funders and grant-making organizations
- Conduct strategic planning to identify funding needs and opportunities
- Collaborate with program managers and staff to gather information and data for grant applications
- Create budgets and financial reports for grant proposals
- Monitor and track grant progress, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and funding opportunities
- Assist in the development of fundraising strategies to support organizational goals
- Participate in program development activities to align funding opportunities with program objectives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting
- Strong writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas
- Knowledge of grant research techniques and resources
- Proficiency in using fundraising software such as Raiser's Edge or similar platforms
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting for grants
- Ability to conduct thorough research and gather relevant data for proposals
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
