Graduate Tax Programs Office Student Assistant
Job Summary:
The University of San Francisco School of Law is seeking a highly motivated, dependable, customer-service-oriented, and administratively skilled Student Assistant to support the Graduate Tax Programs Office. The Student Assistant reports to the Associate Director of Graduate Tax Programs and assists with a variety of administrative, program support, and event management tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. GENERAL DUTIES
• General office duties include answering phones, greeting visitors, managing email inbox and mail distribution, managing departmental calendar.
• Manage office files, records and supply inventory, ordering supplies.
• Assist with the processing of invoices and expense reports.
• Assist with room scheduling, set up clean up after events, ordering food, errands to main university campus, storage rooms maintenance, and occasionally lifting no more than 35 lbs.
2. RECRUITMENT & ADMISSIONS
• Manage the calendar for prospective student appointments and set up zoom/in person meetings.
• Provide administrative support for recruitment events such as setting up zoom
meetings, distributing marketing materials (email/shipping), following up with
participants, etc.
• Data entry and clerical support related to application processing for the Graduate Tax Programs, such as entering and tracking data around prospective student interaction, application completion, sending out admission letters, tracking scholarships, running
reports, etc.
3. STUDENT SERVICES & FACULTY SUPPORT
• Provide assistance to the Associate Director's as they support the students throughout the year through various administrative duties such as assisting with student advising, tracking registration and student statuses, emailing current students and faculty, etc.
• Assist in preparation and execution of a wide variety of events, both in person and
online, such as webinars, committee meetings, lectures, and orientation.
• Create and prepare documents that support events, such as brochures, flyers and certificates.
Additional duties as assigned

We are looking for a responsible and dependable Student Assistant who can readily adapt to changing priorities and who wants to join our team. It is not necessary to have solid experience in all of the areas listed under Responsibilities above - it is more important to have exposure to administrative office work, a professional demeanor, and demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively (both in writing and verbally).
Work Environment
This is a 10 - 20 hour per week position in a professional fast-paced academic office. The position hours may be flexible within 8:30am - 5:00pm but need to be set in advance with the Program Assistant's approval. We adhere to high standards and are respectful of the people who work and study here.
