Halff has an opening for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Water Resources group in the Frisco, TX office. This position is for a December 2023 or May 2024 graduate in General Civil Engineering interested in working on Water Resources projects. The ideal candidate should have an interest in drainage and stormwater analysis and design. The Graduate Civil Engineer will help perform Water Resources design, support projects in Water Resources planning, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and other engineering tasks as needed.
Graduate Civil Engineer – Water Resources Responsibilities:
- Design Water ResourcesCivil Engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Assist with drainage and stormwater analysis and design
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects
- Perform drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Graduate Civil Engineer - Water ResourcesQualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (preferred) in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree (December 2023 and May 2024 graduates encouraged to apply)
- Passed FE exam
- Up to 3 years of experience supporting projects in Water Resources planning, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and other engineering tasks is preferred.
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
- Great communication skills
- Skills Desired: Microstation or AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, XP-SWMM.
