Job Title: CIVIL ENGINEER
Location: Hybrid/Houston, TX
Duration: 4 Month plus contract to Perm hire
Job Description:
• Develop methods and solutions for site development and layouts, underground piping, horizontal and vertical controls, grading and drainage, site paving, and site utilities.
• You will apply engineering techniques and analyses which will include Civil 3d and laser scanning applications.
• Short term travel to construction sites and client facilities is required.
• Help to define scope of work, design criteria, schedule, standards, and procedures for project assignments.
• Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. Willingness to travel to site locations is expected.
• Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations.
• Perform construction administration activities such as contractor submittals review, respond to requests for information (RFI), site reviews, and inspections.
• Participate in the development of engineering proposals.
Qualifications:
• US citizenship is required
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of related work experience
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas is required
• Good organizational and communication skills. Expresses ideas concisely and clearly, both orally and in writing
• Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficient in the use of office personal computers, office networks, and the Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
