The Opportunity
- Applications of responsibilities to transportation projects involving civil design supporting roadways, railways, and airports
- Use Civil 3D or MicroStation software to layout roads, multi-use paths, flood barriers, drainage systems and utility systems as well as site grading and earthwork designs
- Use Hydraulic modeling tools such as Autodesk Storm and Sanitary, InfoWorks, and PCSWMM to analyze and design stormwater, sanitary, potable water systems, and flood protection systems
- Perform data collection, research, and apply codes, specifications and standards for design of the above elements
- Coordinate with other disciplines to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes
- Apply understanding of all phases of the planning, design and construction process
- Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery
- Engage with project stakeholders and clients to develop designs thatmeetsneeds and concerns
- Support development of drawings, reports, calculation packages, and specifications
- Perform pre-construction and construction-phase site visits

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, or relevant engineering degree
- Sound knowledge of Civil Engineering fundamentals
- Experience with CAD software
- Professional demeanor
- Good communication skillsessentialfor team-based working
- Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
- Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
Preferred:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
- EIT/ FE Certification
- Preference for transportation and infrastructure project work
- Proficient with Civil Engineering design and analysis tools for roads, stormwater, and/or utility systems
- Knowledge of Civil 3D CAD software and MicroStation
- Pastinternship or extracurricular activity in the field
- Personal investment in academic or extracurricular field
