This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Early Career Civil Engineer for our New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Civil Engineering Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. Please note this posting is NOT for a structural engineering position . Please refer to the structural engineering postings for those with structural interest.
Your Impact
- Design and drafting of highway, and urban roadway and site projects
- Design and drafting of underground utility networks
- Development and review of construction cost estimates
- Development of technical memos and other professional communications
- Work with a variety of clients to develop unique and cost effective designs
- Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills
- Assist in design using various types of CADD design software
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis
Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimatesAssist in collecting and maintaining project documentation
Who You Are
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related degree.
- 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
- Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
- Background in drafting software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
- The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent graduate or May 2024 Graduate in an accredited Civil Engineering, or related, Undergraduate or Graduate program.
- The successful candidate will have 0-3 years of internship experience in Civil Engineering.Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and drainage software.

Expected Salary: $55,400 - $91,300
