Summary
We are looking for a graduate Business Intern to join our Wildfire Risk Mitigation department at our 1800 Larimer Street building in downtown Denver, CO! The successful candidate must be able to work 30-40 hours per week during the summer and 10-20 hours during the school year. This is a paid position.
The ideal candidate will be able to assist with Risk Mitigation and market research, working closely with experts in the Wildfire department as well as business areas across Xcel Energy. Primary tasks include (but are not limited to) market analysis, product research, document review and summarization (abstract or brief), analytical work supported by project teams, as well as record retention.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a master's degree preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field as of May 2024.
- Experience and/or coursework in Engineering, Business, finance, and economics.
- Experience in research, data review, and analytics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be available 10-20 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during summer.
- The ability to work a hybrid work schedule and must live within a commutable distance from 1800 Larimer Street, Denver, 80202.
Preferred
- Able to commit to the internship for 6-12 months.
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $23.90 per hour.
