CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN
To maintain the integrity of the company's calibration system by accurately testing, verifying and recording the data obtained from measuring and testing devices used in the manufacturing, assembling and testing process per specifications written exclusively for the specific measuring and testing equipment.
- Test and verify results of all controlled measuring and testing equipment used in the manufacturing and inspection process using specifications written exclusively for the specific piece of equipment and accurately recording the results.
- To ensure that all inspection, measuring and test equipment (including mechanical, automated or electrical inspection and test equipment) is suitable for its intended purposes and is capable of producing valid results.
- Establish and maintain procedures to test and/or calibrate controlled equipment.
- To maintain a calibration database that will retain all unique information pertaining to any controlled instrument that is used in the production, testing and manufacturing process including calibration due dates of equipment, control numbers, model/serial numbers, manufacturer of equipment, units of measure, tolerance of unit, etc.
- Perform data collection, interpret and analyze information to provide recommendations and feedback for solutions.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation/equipment malfunctions.
- Perform job functions in accordance with applicable SOPs, DOIs, Good manufacturing practices and Quality Systems Regulations (FDA, ISO).
- Records coordinator as required.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years' work experience in a manufacturing or technical setting.
- Measuring and testing devices including but not limited to mechanical, automated, or electronic inspection equipment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Computer skills.
- Good writing and verbal skills.
- Some technical training in pneumatics, electronics, and metrology.
- ASQ or similar certification in Quality Technology, Calibration, or Quality Engineering.
- Regulatory/FDA or ISO manufacturing setting.
- Clean room experience.
- Strong Mathematical skills
- Strong Mechanical skills
Physical Requirements:
- Excellent vision.
- Moderate twisting, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
