JOB SUMMARY The Golf Shop Assistant responsibilities are to create a great golf experience on behalf of Arrowood Golf Course, maximize customer satisfaction and create a memorable experience for our guests.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Provide courteous and prompt service at all times and respond to questions in a knowledgeable, concise manner.
· Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and provide exceptional guest service.
· Operate a point-of-sale system to charge guests merchandise and/or rental purchases.
· Communicate and respond by phone, email and in person regarding inquires, course conditions and special member events.
· Tidy, dust and maintain the overall appearance of the Golf Shop.
· Assist with monthly inventory and order supplies as needed.
· Possess the ability to acquaint themselves with every department of the operation as you could be asked frequent questions due to your immediate accessibility.
· Follow outside golf cart/range procedures daily; which is not limited to and some of the following:
· Other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
· Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision / management of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional resources, material and supplies.
· May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
· Ensure all company guidelines and safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
· Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Previous Customer Service and retail experience is a plus
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends and holidays
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
· Proficient in MS Office, POS system use
· Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
· Strong ethical practices.
· Strong internal/external customer relation skills required with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, members and other stakeholders.
· Strong ability to problem solve; listening, collaborating and analyzing issues to produce working, compliant solutions.
· Experience working with inside and outside environmental elements (noise, weather, etc.).
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines.
· Demonstrates attention to detail.
· Excellent attendance and punctuality.
· Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner both in written and verbal form to connect with guests, vendors and co-workers and staff.
