JOB TITLE: Global Telecom Inventory Analyst
LOCATION: Austin, TX Onsite
DURATION: 6 month contract to hire
RATE RANGE: $25-35/hr
SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure accuracy and completeness of the fleet inventory of Starlink kits and large wireline services, including tracking the quantity, location, and condition of each kit.
Manage the inventory allocation process, ensuring that the right number of Starlink kits are available for deployment in each location worldwide.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and reduce lead times for kit replenishment.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand for Starlink kits based on deployment plans and network expansion initiatives.
Collaborate with vendors and logistics partners to manage the shipping and transportation of Starlink kits to global locations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of the fleet inventory against documentation and system records, addressing any discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of equipment movements, including kit deployments, replacements, and retirements, to facilitate asset tracking and reporting.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with customs regulations, export/import requirements, and international shipping guidelines when managing equipment globally.
Analyze and optimize key processes related to fleet inventory management, such as forecasting, procurement, and disposal, to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with network engineers and technicians to gather network details for each location, including network topology, equipment configurations, and connectivity requirements.
Document network details accurately and maintain an up-to-date repository of network information, ensuring easy access for troubleshooting, upgrades, and future planning.
Assist in the coordination and execution of network upgrades, including the deployment of new equipment, firmware updates, and configuration changes.
Monitor and address any discrepancies or billing errors related to telecom services, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to respective cost centers and locations worldwide.
Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes, implementing automation and technology solutions where applicable to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive (5 or more years) experience with telecommunications inventory and billing reconciliation practices
Deep experience with Global Telco carriers, technologies, and region-specific processes
Knowledge and experience with the following: spreadsheets, purchasing systems, inventory systems, telecommunications technologies, and financial activities in an enterprise (budgeting, cost savings, POs, invoices)
Excellent attention to details and process discipline
Ability to critically analyze internal and external process and drive improvements to completion
Self-managed and committed to working in a fast-paced environment
Professional communication skills and ability to speak, read, and write in the English language.
Ability to function independently towards a common directive without need for consistent oversight.
