Since 1999, we have been engineering and repairing the major components of power transmission systems for Heavy Industry. We are globally recognized for our ability to analyze and understand our customer's problems and offer reliable, cost-effective solutions and personalized service. Our strengths rely heavily on our field experience, equipment performance feedback knowledge, application engineering know-how as well as design, testing, manufacture, and distribution experience.

We continuously seek the best talent around the world and, at this moment, we have an opening in the following position: Supply Chain Manager located in Madrid, España.

Position Objective:

This executive position within our Mechanical engineering firm seeks to bolster our Supply Chain department, emphasizing Strategic Sourcing, and demands a thorough grasp of the global metal mechanical fabrication market, especially in Europe and North America. The role, with flexibility for placement in Europe or the USA, centers on leading strategic initiatives to optimize our Global Supply Chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive industry expertise, demonstrate strategic prowess, and showcase a track record of operational excellence across diverse international markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement Global Supply Chain strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing, procurement, and logistics for power transmission and wind energy projects.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop Supply Chain best practices, policies, and procedures, such as procurement, supplier management, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Work with regional Supply Chain individuals to coordinate and standardize processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency, visibility, and collaboration across the Global Supply Chain network.
  • Identify and evaluate potential global suppliers/vendors, negotiate contracts, and form strategic alliances to optimize the supply base and mitigate Supply Chain risks.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and geopolitical factors to anticipate changes in Supply Chain dynamics and respond to potential challenges or disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve Supply Chain performance, streamline processes, cut costs, and boost quality and delivery reliability.
  • Create key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and dashboards to measure and track Supply Chain performance across the globe, as well as provide senior management with regular reports and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies pertaining to Supply Chain management, ethics, and sustainability.
  • Create and nurture a high-performing Global Supply Chain team by offering leadership, guidance, and development opportunities to improve team capabilities and effectiveness.
  • Management of Service Level Agreements with suppliers, accountable for response and delivery times.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, such as engineering, operations, finance, and sales, to align Supply Chain strategies with business goals and support company growth initiatives.

Administrative and Technical Competences:

  • Mastery in Global Supply Chain concepts & processes including procurement, sourcing, supplier management, inventory management, logistics coordination, and import/export processes.
  • Proficient in Supply Chain management software with a mastery level in Dynamics 365, enabling seamless operation and optimization of Supply Chain activities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, leveraging analytical capabilities to enhance decision-making processes and drive efficiency across Supply Chain operations.

Personal Competencies:

  • Mastery in team leadership, adept at fostering collaboration, motivation, and productivity to achieve collective goals effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the identification of inefficiencies and the implementation of innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Mastery in strategic planning and decision-making, with a focus on delivering optimal outcomes aligned with organizational objectives, coupled with a service and results-oriented approach.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is preferred.

Over 10 years of experiences in the following:

  • Progressive experience in Global Supply Chain management, procurement, or logistics roles, with at least 3 years of experience in the metal-mechanical, power transmission, wind energy, or automotive industry.
  • Deep understanding of Global Supply Chain concepts, processes, and best practices, with experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management, inventory management, and logistics.

7 to 10 years of experience in the following:

  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with a track record of successfully leading Global Supply Chain initiatives and driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex Supply Chain issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners worldwide.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse global team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

5 to 7 years of experience in the following:

  • Proficiency in Supply Chain management software (e.g., ERP systems, MRP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

3 to 5 years of experience in the following:

  • Knowledge of power transmission systems, wind turbine components, and industry-specific regulations and standards is highly desirable.
