Global Pricing Analyst
RCS Level: K or P3
Responsible for identifying, developing and implementing pricing and yield management policies, programs and strategies on a Regional and Country basis. Advises and supports all collaborators in the deployment of new products, services, price structures, selling guidelines, and other initiatives aimed at improving overall company profitability; initiatives may be multi-national, cross-functional, and across Business Units. Sets Published Rates and discount guidelines for Sales to use in setting rates for individual customers; provides analysis and approval of specific rates outside of guidelines. Designs and develops tools, models, and reports to support Sales and Pricing. Gathers data to resolve efficiency and profitability of pricing strategies and tactics. Identifies opportunities for improving pricing and profitability of existing accounts. Follows industry developments and competitor pricing strategies that may affect pricing structures, and provides tactical and strategic responses.

Independently performs assignments to achieve stated objective. Figures out and develops approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or sophisticated problems or issues.

May be responsible for entire projects or functions having modest scope/impact or portions of projects having considerable scope/impact to department, area, and, at times, business unit results. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve objectives would typically result in noticeable program delays and considerable expenditure of resources to rectify.

Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments. Tasks:
- Analyzes and recommends appropriate pricing for DHL products and services by conducting market analysis, competitor analysis, profitability analysis, and revenue simulations; supports Marketing and Finance.
- Analyzes and recommends appropriate pricing for DHL products and services for specific customers by applying guidelines, performing profitability analysis, and suggesting optimal pricing; implements and interprets pricing policy; works closely with Sales.
- Analyzes shipment volume and revenue to resolve effectiveness and profitability of pricing strategies.
- Forecasts volume and revenue to use in financial and operational planning activities.
- Initiates profitability reports and develops plans to increase profitability and enhance yield.
- Analyzes competitor pricing and makes recommendations regarding ways to improve DHL pricing and profitability.
- At higher levels, may provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to less-experienced pricing professionals and unique leveling criteria.
