Examples of Duties
GIS Analyst
Provide technical support for GIS functions
Serve as E-911 system administrator
Plan, design, and create custom maps
Provide GIS project design and maintenance
Provide quality control and maintenance for GIS projects
Train and instruct county employees in the use of GIS and office related software and hardware such as GPS units and data collectors
Maintain awareness and knowledge of new GIS relates technologies, software, and hardware
Draft, update and maintain metadata
Provide Database Administration for GIS maps and Data Portal.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
May assist with duties and responsibilities as outlined in the County Emergency Operations Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
One to three years technical experience
Driver's license valid in Minnesota
This position is regularly scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, with the potential for evening or weekend hours. The 2024 starting salary for this position is $67,184 annually, depending on qualifications, with career advancement to $112,507.
