About This Position:
RRG NBS is looking for a GIS Analyst to join our team. In this position you will handle routine and presentation mapping requests, create and maintain key datasets, and coordinate with other technical teams on large-scale data projects. We are looking for highly motivated applicants with excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and a strong ability to troubleshoot. This position is primarily based in our Bakersfield office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Handling routine and custom GIS mapping requests from various stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Maintaining and updating both proprietary and non-proprietary data sets (both geospatial and non-geospatial)in local files as well as web-based feature services
- Performing various types of spatial data analysis
- Acquiring geospatial data from various sources, including SQL databases, shapefiles, KML, CAD, and APIs
- Helping to build and maintain various data models for consistency and quality control on key datasets
What We Are Looking For:

- Strong background with the ESRI suite including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Extensive experience working with and managing geospatial data
- Aptitude for problem-solving with a strong attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge in principles of map-making and map presentation
- Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus but not required
Education and Experience
- Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geospatial Information Technologies, Environmental Engineering, Geography or a related field
- 3+ years of professional GIS experience
- Experience in agriculture or water is a plus
The pay range for this role is $75-$85k. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with the Firm's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
