Summary:
We are currently seeking a geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate for the project manager/ field operations leader position will work with the management team on a variety of different government, commercial, and private industry projects. This position is reserved for individuals that can work as part of a team and demonstrate an ability to work independently, while successfully adhering to project standards, schedules, and budgets on multiple simultaneous projects.
Your Role:
- Prepare work packages for environmental projects and assist with development of project solutions for various government, commercial, and private industry sites, dealing with conventional (fuels, VOCs, metals) and emerging (PFAS) contaminants.
- Develop key elements of reports, presentations, and work plans, as well as perform document QA/QC under the direction of senior staff.
- Support proposal efforts by performing detailed estimates of hours and expenses to address contaminants at various sites.
- Serve as operations leader for site investigations, remedial actions, and construction monitoring activities. Candidate must be willing to work safely and abide by all safety guidelines of both Tetra Tech Inc. and the client.
- Assist with management and direction of junior staff to execute project assignments.
- Regional travel required (e.g., project sites, conferences, other company offices).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or other related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geological or Environmental Sciences
- Professional Geologist or Professional Engineering license in Florida
- Experience with groundwater and soil remediation
- Familiar with federal, state, and local regulations
- Experience with database management, GIS, and hydrogeologic modeling programs
