A Four-Year Public University AACSB accredited College of Business seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Law beginning August 16, 2024. This is a 2-year, 12-month, appointment from August 2024 – August 2026. Visiting Assistant Professors will be appointed for a special period of time. This temporary faculty position's primary duties will emphasize teaching responsibilities in Business Law, including undergraduate courses in Business Law I and Business Law II for business and accounting students. Other classes may be assigned based on background and experience. This position is not tenure-track and not a part of the faculty bargaining unit.The visiting professor position reports to the Accounting, Finance, MIS, & Economics Division Chair in the College of Business. Essential responsibilities including teaching 9 courses a year in Business Law across fall, spring and summer terms. Required and Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- J.D. is required;
- Teaching experience (or equivalent);
- Practice Academic (PA) AACSB qualification status;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional education or credentials such as L.L.M. (Tax), M.S. In Taxation, Master's degree in Accounting, licensed CPA, or Doctoral degree;
- Experience teaching undergraduate business students;
- Online teaching experience;
- Scholarly Academic (SA) AACSB qualification status
