Generator/Off-Road Equipment Mechanic

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Generator/Off-Road Equipment Mechanic in Liberty, MO! The Generator/Off-Road Equipment Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium-heavy duty gas and diesel generators and equipment. PMs and minor repairs will be conducted. Experience with diesel trailer generators, larger emergency generators, electrical schematics, electrical trailer breaks, DOT inspection and diesel generator PMs is required. Any experience with ATV repairs, UTV repairs, snow mobiles and small outboard boats is preferred. Light maintenance on fleet cars and light duty trucks(i.e. oil changes and battery swaps) will take place as well. Computer competency is needed as well to manage part purchasing and work orders.

Compensation: Competitive Negotiable Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! SIGN-ON BONUS MAY BE INCLUDED

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am- 3:00pm

What the Generator Mechanic/Technician role looks like:

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation

What our ideal candidate looks like: At least 3 years’ experience as an Generator Mechanic/Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
• Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
• Must have own tools
• Must have valid driver's license
