We’re currently seeking reliable, and conscientious individuals with as a General Service Technician, for our branch in Rochester, NY
This is a full-time, 1st shift position.
As a General Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing the installation of plows, van equipment, aftermarket truck equipment, 12-volt lighting and electrical installations. Installations must be completed according to the goals set by the Production Manager.
- Assemble and install equipment and products under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble/install equipment and products.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Perform all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Confer with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
- Good vision, ability to follow oral and written instructions; detail oriented and organized; self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have basic mechanical and/or electrical skills and be able to operate hand and power tools. Welding is a plus but not the core function.
- Must possess and be able to use basic hand tools.
- Must be able to remember multiple tasks and be able to communicate verbally and written.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL ENVIRONMENT:
- The majority of time spent standing on hard surface, with substantial amount of pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Position requires ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds, perform mechanical/ installation skills and hand-eye coordination skills, walk, and stand for prolonged periods, see objects closely, and hear normal sounds with some background noises.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
