Job Summary:
The Chief Sustainability Officer will engage with managers, employees, customers, and shareholders to reduce the company's environmental effect.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directs the sustainability program and department's mission and effectiveness.
Coordinates timely and constructive performance reviews with departmental supervisors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Explores company policies and processes to find ways to enhance them in line with sustainability goals.
Thinks about ways the corporation can combine business commitments with respecting, supporting, and developing the local and global environments.
Plan and implement environmental plans for energy consumption, conservation, pollution reduction, recycling, building and facility design, and Sustainability education.
Creates and implements environmental-friendly organizational policies.
Evaluates sustainability initiatives and makes modifications as needed.
Explores environmental and Sustainability topics and concerns.
Cost, feasibility, and program integration are considered while evaluating sustainability initiatives.
Writes reports, presentations, and suggestions for the CEO, board, and other stakeholders.
Creates and manages budgets and financial records.
Produces proposals and grant applications for environmental projects.
Makes sure all local, state, federal, and internal environmental rules and regulations are followed.
Identifies and guides training.
Performs other needed tasks.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of sustainable techniques and rules and regulations.
Ability to interpret research and find useful information.
Microsoft Office Suite or associated software expert.
Well-organized and meticulous.
Create, interpret, and implement a budget.
Presentation skills needed to present suggestions to different groups.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, or business administration. Masters degrees
are desirable.
At least 5 years of leadership experience in sustainability management.
Successfully implemented sustainability efforts in an organization.
Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and reporting requirements.
Environmental regulations and compliance expertise.
Worked with employees, consumers, suppliers, and communities.
Excellent writing and speaking skills.
Certified Sustainability Professional (CSP) qualifications are ideal.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $114,770.00 - $132,000.00 per year
