As the General Manager you will:
- Provide leadership and direction to all departments, including sales, operations, logistics, assets management, customer service, and administration.
- Identify new opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure seamless execution of rental orders, timely delivery/pick-up of equipment, and exceptional customer experiences.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to monitor performance, track expenses, and maximize profitability.
- Implement cost-control measures and revenue-enhancement strategies to achieve business goals and targets.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure the team is following proper health and safety protocols.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, embracing a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and empower staff to excel in their roles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and industry partners to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively to ensure positive outcomes and long-term partnerships.
- Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in all aspects of operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and event execution.
- Stay informed about market trends, conduct market research, gather customer insights, and analyze data to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Represent Bright Event Rentals in the local community and industry associations, participating in networking events, trade shows, and sponsorships to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Abide by Bright’s quality assurance protocols and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field or a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in business management, operations, and leadership roles, preferably within the event equipment rental, hospitality, or similar service industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams, driving business growth, and achieving financial targets.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and analytical skills to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Financial management, budgeting, and reporting software
- Computer or Technology literate – familiarity with PC operating systems and Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence, integrity, and customer service excellence.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to safely navigate stairs and our facilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
