General Manager, Email Marketing

PerkSpot is searching for aGeneral Manager (Senior Director/VP), Email Marketing to join our Product & Growth Team! Founded in 2006, we are on a Mission to Save Our Members Money by providing exclusive access to the best discounts available - anywhere. We ensure employees see offers curated to their interests, allowing them to save on electronics, home goods, meal delivery, mortgages, travel, and all the other little—and big—things that will make life a bit easier.

This role owns all revenue generated by our Email Marketing campaigns and is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of our email campaigns for PerkSpot. This is a VP or Senior Director level role reporting to the General Manager for Growth (Chief Product Officer).

What you’ll accomplish:

• Own and report on email performance KPIs - iterate on major campaigns or process changes to ensure learning and improvement are integrated and documented
• Lead a team including an Email Program Marketing Manager and Deal Merchandising
• Own the running and sending of all Email Marketing programs. Discover and drive efficiencies over time.
• Optimize tools and maximize performance advantage from tools
• Identify and implement automation opportunities
• Manage delivery of multiple seasonal campaigns
• Own merchandising of our Email Marketing campaigns and partner with the Merchant team to plan ad sales inventory and manage the placement of ads across our Email Marketing campaigns
• Partner with the Tech team to improve deliverability rates
• Manage basic A/B testing efforts, such as subject line testing and others, in collaboration with the Creative Team
• Direct effort of one or two Engineers who are dedicated to email
• Prioritize the product roadmap for email campaigns and email tools

How your success will be measured:

• Increase Email Active User Engagement
• Total Revenue from Email, both ad revenue and direct (transaction) revenue

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in an Email Marketing role
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience
• Previous experience working in tech and/or e-commerce industry
• Proven background in process improvement
• Experience with Email Marketing tools, SendGrid preferred 
• Analytical - very comfortable with evaluating data for trends, insights, and improvement opportunities
• Great cross-team collaborator - partnerships with merchant, creative, tech, and product teams
