SUMMARY
Responsible for a full range of general accounting activities as defined below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Additional duties may be assigned.
- Assist in the financial period closing process. Responsible for the preparation of the various accrual entries including but not limited to insurance, taxes, audit fees, interest, etc.
- Compile, analyze and document business transactions and financial information to prepare entries to the General Ledger accounts.
- Responsible for the reconciliation of various General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with the established rules and principles of general accounting.
- Responsible for the preparation of the monthly departmental expense statements.
- Works with Purchasing and/or receiving to resolve PO vs. invoice/receipt discrepancies. This involves monitoring of the Logged Invoice and the Received Not Invoiced reports to ensure problems are corrected before they age.
- Maintain monthly financial metrics via the Emhart Web Portal.
- Participates in internal and external audits. Take corrective actions based on audit findings.
BASIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Additional duties may be assigned.
- Assists in the annual budgeting process.
- Assists with financial forecasts as requested by group finance.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
- Promotes a safe work culture and ensures that personnel are adhering to the general safety rules and are trained in accordance to company policy.
